Wroclaw
Wroclaw is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Poland, initially established on one of the islands formed by the multiple channels of the river Odra. As a city of 112 bridges, it is known as the 'Polish Venice'. It has a population of around 750,000 inhabitants and is located in the centre west part of Poland. The City has attracted substantial foreign direct investments recently including a new LG Philips factory, Siemens, Hewlett Packard and Volvo. Direct flights from European capitals have boosted tourist numbers. Wroclaw is also well located within Poland close to the German border and a new fast linkmotorway is being constructed connecting the city directly to Berlin.
